John VIII

John VIII Palaiologos KG OD (18 December 1392 – 4 July 1457) was Roman Emperor as John VIII from 1425 until his death in 1457. He was the first Roman Emperor in the east to embrace Catholicism, and also the first emperor of the restored Roman Empire in the East.
